Hi! My name is Devyn Siegel, and I’m a graphic designer, illustrator, and storyteller who recently graduated from Roger Williams University, where I earned my BA in Graphic Design Communications.

My path into design didn’t start immediately. As a sophomore, I transitioned into the world of graphic design and quickly fell in love with its ability to combine storytelling, problem-solving, and visual expression. Over my junior and senior years, I focused on growing and refining my skills through courses such as Brand Identity, Publication Design, Citizen Designer, and Art Direction, where I developed my senior thesis.

My thesis, Sustainability Beyond Aesthetics, explored authentic environmentalism in design and questioned how sustainability can be more than a marketing trend and instead become meaningful, honest communication. This work led to projects like Scout’s Sustainability Guide: Plastic, an educational guidebook filled with vintage-style illustrations, interactive activities, and friendly characters designed to make environmental topics more playful and accessible for kids and adults alike.

Some of my other featured projects, including Coral.Co and Foxes at Work, can be found throughout my portfolio and reflect my interest in design that educates, empowers, and creates emotional connection.

Alongside graphic design, I pursued a second focus in visual arts, a passion I’ve had since a young age. Inspired by artists like Monet, Degas, and Renoir, I chose to minor in visual arts with an emphasis on drawing, painting, and printmaking. I strengthened these skills through studio courses such as Drawing the Figure, Relief Printmaking, Oil Painting, Sculpture Making, and Jewelry and Light Metals.

I currently work at Golden Goose as a sneaker maker and artist, collaborating closely with sales associates to enhance the client experience through personalized co-creation. My work includes custom illustrations, handwritten phrases, stud work, star changes, and hot-fix applications. Each piece is designed to reflect individuality and tell a story.

I believe design should do more than look good. It should do good too.

If you’re interested in collaborating, commissioning a piece, or just chatting about children’s books, sustainability, or frogs, I’d love to connect.

Wedding Reception Shoes

These shoes were designed for a woman who is getting married this June. She specifically asked for both of her dogs to be on the insides of her shoes. I sketched an outline on Procreate and then replicated it on the shoes.

Journey Stamp Shoes

These shoes were inspired by a post a pre-law student saw online. We worked out which locations she wanted to swap out and we added places she's been to as well as ones she wants to visit.

Daughter's Special Shoes

These shoes were designed by the parents of a 1-year-old girl. They asked for her name and a teddy bear as they wanted her to be able to see something she would recognize.
